As a patient of Kroger Specialty Pharmacy, you will receive customized coordination of care throughout your treatment journey. Our dedicated HIV Center of Excellence includes highly qualified clinical and patient care teams with the skills, training, and experience to help you navigate the complexities between healthcare providers, insurance, and your medication plan. Our dedicated advocacy team is also ready to help with copay assistance, medication management, and finding ways to help you stay on therapy.
Kroger Specialty Pharmacy has access to an extensive list of HIV medications, including many limited distribution therapies. We also provide ancillary medications, vitamins, and supplements. We are your one-stop-shop for HIV and PrEP and can reduce the time spent coordinating your treatments.

We are privileged to be a part of your care team and will coordinate directly with your doctor’s office for prior authorizations, appeals, refills and anything else needed for your care.
We take copay cards, and we will help enroll qualified patients in copay card programs. To use a copay card, you must have commercial/private insurance. Additionally, some states (like California) have laws prohibiting patients from using copay cards for medications that have a generic equivalent.
Yes, we are experts in navigating multiple insurances and utilizing them appropriately to get the most coverage possible for our patients.
We try our best to get your medications on a once-a-month shipment schedule; however, the timing depends on when we receive the prescriptions and when you last filled each medication.
We understand the importance of not missing doses in controlling HIV. To help patients stay on top of their medications, our pharmacy does offer options for you to get your monthly order packaged in convenient pillboxes or blister pack based on your needs.
Our Patient Care Coordinators keep track of your refills and contact you 7-10 days before your refill date. You do not need to keep track of refill dates.
Many medications offer 90-day supply. We can investigate this on your behalf with your insurance provider.
We can ship to all 50 states. Your Patient Care Coordinator will discuss your preferred address with you for each refill. However, we are unable to ship controls out of state and there are some restrictions depending on your insurance plan.
